Office

The office / writing desk are one of our favorite places in the house. Located directly behind the double front doors, and the Paul McCobb glass partition is a very modest writing desk. It is made from solid walnut and produced by Knoll, along with the accompaning Bertoia side chair, both of these pieces are original to the home. On the desk is an original No# 9 lamp by Isamu Noguchi, a three-slender-legged cherrywood table lamp, designed for Knoll in the mid-1940s, predating his famous “Akari” paper lamps by five years. Again this piece is original to the home, and placed in the house when it was displayed as a sales model, and came with the furnished house that the Frost family purchased.
